Cutera^® laser treatments have been known to yield some of the most effective non-surgical skin resurfacing results in the field of aesthetic enhancement. Mills, MD, FACS and our cosmetic surgery staff are dedicated to employing only the most innovative technologies available, which is why we offer patients both the Cutera Excel V™ Laser and the Cutera Laser Genesis™ for the treatment of wrinkles, skin discolorations, unsightly veins, scars, and more. Excel V™ Laser

Designed with three different laser frequencies, Cutera’s Excel V™ laser can treat a number of superficial and/or deep vascular skin conditions including port wine stains, rosacea, spider and varicose veins, broken capillaries, dilated blood vessels, and small red papules known as cherry angiomas. During treatment, the laser energy can be precisely targeted into designated areas of skin in order to achieve the most effective results without harming any surrounding tissues. Additionally, the Excel V™ laser system employs a unique contact cooling system that can greatly diminish any potential discomfort during more intense treatment sessions.

Two or more treatment sessions are typically necessary to achieve optimal results, and there is typically no recovery or downtime associated with Excel V™ laser treatments. Some minor swelling and/or redness may occur in the treatment area, but these symptoms should dissipate relatively quickly. Ultimately, treatment with the Excel V™ laser can help you improve the appearance of vascular conditions while helping you achieve a rejuvenated aesthetic for your skin.

Laser Genesis™

Cutera’s Laser Genesis™ technology is designed to improve the appearance of several perceived skin blemishes including scars, redness and rosacea, wrinkles, as well as various signs of aging and sun damage. Calibrated specifically to stimulate new collagen growth while protecting surrounding tissues, this non-invasive laser can help to even skin tone and refine pore sizes through the gentle application of heat underneath the skin.

Treatment times are generally relatively short with minimal discomfort. There is rarely any recovery or downtime associated with Laser Genesis™ treatments, but multiple sessions may be necessary in order to achieve optimal results. Additionally, minor redness and occasional swelling may occur, but these symptoms should dissipate shortly after treatment. Ultimately, treatment with the Laser Genesis™ can give your skin a more youthful-looking appearance and a luminous glow.
