What is Renuvion®?
Renuvion® is most often used in conjunction with liposuction to further contract the tissue after subcutaneous fat is removed. Renuvion® treatment uses RF energy and helium plasma to boost collagen production and contract soft tissue, which directly optimizes liposuction post-surgical results.
The incorporation of helium plasma helps the RF energy safely heat up to 85°C, the optimal temperature for tissue contraction, and then promptly cools the tissue down. This technique delivers exceptional skin tightening, and makes for a short, low-stress procedure with little downtime required.
Renuvion® can be especially effective when performed alongside liposuction. However, other surgical- or non-surgical treatments available at our practice can also include Renuvion® for comprehensive tightening and contouring of the skin.
How Does Renuvion® Work?
A highly versatile procedure, Renuvion® can firm and tighten skin in the following areas:
- Lower face and neck
- Arms

- Abdomen

- Thighs
During the procedure, the device is inserted into the subcutaneous skin layer through a small entry point. The device releases RF energy to heat the tissue before promptly cooling it with the helium component. General anesthesia will be recommended for most individuals, depending upon the area receiving treatment, and whether Renuvion® treatment is combined with other surgical procedures. It is also recommended that compression garments be worn after a typical Renuvion® procedure.
How Long Does Renuvion® Last?
While the results of Renuvion® can last for years, it is important to note that this treatment cannot stop the natural effects of aging. As such, to reap the full benefits of this procedure, you are encouraged to take proper care of your skin by staying hydrated, maintaining a healthy diet, and regularly using sunscreen.
How Much Does Renuvion® Cost?
The cost of Renuvion® at our practice is contingent upon a number of factors, such as the treatment area, the extent of treatment, the type of anesthesia utilized, and the possible incorporation of other treatments (e.g. liposuction, breast lift surgery, or other options) into the procedure.
